Sustainability

Sustainability is at the crux of MUPL’s responsible packaging. The Company’s endeavor is twofold- to create a system that incorporates the philosophy of sustainability into its manufacturing process and later, to extend it to encompass all its stakeholders.

• MUPL pursues a Circular Economy Management System (CEMS) through manufacturing, reusing and recycling solutions. This ensures minimum wastage, maximum environmental conservation and a healthier supply chain.
• MUPL practices Responsible & Conscious Sourcing of raw materials. MUPL’s collaborative efforts, with its suppliers and customers, enable every stakeholder to achieve collective sustainability goals. The Company has a Supplier Code of Conduct in place, which enables supplier Screening Process and helps to evaluate them on the basis of various social and environmental parameters. At MUPL, the suppliers are considered partners in the manufacturing chain. Therefore, they also reflect the Company’s ethos and uphold the same level of integrity, responsibility and commitment to sustainability. This ultimately minimizes potential environmental and social risks while creating opportunities to implement solutions that positively impact our customers.
• The logistics operations and inventory management framework places emphasis on reducing waste throughout the supply chain.
• The plant design is as per Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) norms and follows all the standards required to be a green plant. The total area of the manufacturing unit has a green cover of over 60%. This lends an eco-beauty to the layout and maintains a serene atmosphere.
• At every stage, MUPL has consciously chosen technology that aids in better and safer results with minimal environmental consequences. Fume extraction and ventilation system clears and cleans the air helping the staff breathe easy and lower air pollution. A judicious usage of natural gas, paint, electricity etc. ensures a reduced carbon footprint. Gas based ovens give better control, optimum energy usage and minimal pollutants. Rainwater harvesting helps in the recharging and restoration of ground water levels, ultimately befitting the surrounding area.

Corporate Social Responsibility

As a part of Company’s Conscious Coexistence, MUPL has initiated various projects to build the Socioeconomic Capital of the communities around the Company’s Manufacturing locations. Recognizing Health and Education as vital priorities of the communities, MUPL has initiated measures to contribute in these two areas. These initiatives will go a long way in creating and uplifting the lives of the community staying in the vicinity.

Education : Müller family has facilitated the procurement and installation of machines for the Industrial Training Institute (ITI), Karjan. Regular vocational workshops at ITI are also conducted by the MUPL team of engineers for upskilling the students. From this batch of students, a selected number of well performing students are then considered for Apprenticeship at MUPL.

Health : The Müller Group has supported a reputed NGO of Vadodara by graciously donating in the trying times of the COVID-19 pandemic. This donation enabled procurement of necessary medical equipment during a very critical period.
